I took this as a part of a series of flowers in B&W--I'll post more of them as we go. I did it as a deliberate exercise to help develop my eye for B&W photography. So many times I take an image, and it's only by chance that it ends up B&W during post processing. I'm trying to see the world in B&W, even when it's in color.
What drew me to this particular shot was the geometric patterns of the flowers--they are so sharp and defined, and symmetrical.
The stories found in this blog are purely fictional with a liberal sprinkling of actual events. Similarity to real life is always intended and purely coincidental. All subjects are subject to change at any time. Any and all lawyer's names have been changed to confuse me, the writer, and to protect you, the reader. Objects in the mirror may be closer than they appear so look both ways before peeing in the wind. Always hold hands when crossing your "T's" and dotting your eye protection is required. Read at your own risk, filling may be hot.
Great photo, I have had some difficulty with black and white for flower shots.
ReplyDeleteI just can't seem to bring myself to take the color away.
You did a great job here and it looks as if the B&W has added a lot of feeling to the shot.
Thanks for the comment Evan.
