  1. Great photo, I have had some difficulty with black and white for flower shots.

    I just can't seem to bring myself to take the color away.

    You did a great job here and it looks as if the B&W has added a lot of feeling to the shot.

    I took this as a part of a series of flowers in B&W--I'll post more of them as we go. I did it as a deliberate exercise to help develop my eye for B&W photography. So many times I take an image, and it's only by chance that it ends up B&W during post processing. I'm trying to see the world in B&W, even when it's in color.

    What drew me to this particular shot was the geometric patterns of the flowers--they are so sharp and defined, and symmetrical.
